Women’s College in the News

Stars will be Shining at Women's College this Holiday Season!
It's that time of year again...WCHF recently launched the 2009 Celebrate a Star campaign, with a 20,000 piece mail campiagn, a dedicated web site at www.celebrateastar.ca, and posters and other promotions throughout the hospital and Burton Hall.

Celebrate a Star gives people the opportunity to honour an important person in their lives – a special “Star” who has made a difference to them – while supporting the cornerstones of Women’s College: leading-edge research, high-quality medical education, and most importantly, the delivery of first-rate patient-centred care.

"Celebrate a Star is a special campaign because it gives donors the opportunity to provide their honouree’s name and a personal message, which is then displayed on a festive paper star in the hospital for everyone to see," says WCHF President & CEO Joanne Cole. "Since its inception in 2006 over 3,500 people have supported through Celebrate a Star. It has definitely resonated with our supporters, and we look forward to another excellent campaign for 2009!"

In addition to supporting with a donation and a Star dedication, supporters are encouraged to help extend the reach of Celebrate a Star by encouraging their family and friends to consider including tribute donations in their holiday giving plans.
