Many community groups, families or individuals host fundraising events large and small in support of Women’s College. These events raise money and awareness and create a strong sense of community and team.

Community or family events can include any of the following:

A-thons: walk, jump, knit, swim, read, bowl, skate, cycle, step, dance

At Work or School: bowling tournaments, head shaving, ‘dress down’ days, loonie/townie drives, holiday celebrations, track & field days, raise a set amount of money to make your boss or principal do something e.g. serve breakfast to the team

Auctions: donated items, furniture, artwork, catered meals, services, crafts and other handmade goods

Galas: dinners, concerts, home or garden tours, art shows, boat cruises, dances, talent shows, theatrical performances, celebrity luncheons

In the Neighbourhood: garage sales, bake sales, lemonade stands, BBQ’s, carnivals, block parties, theme parties, birthday or anniversary celebrations

Sporting Events: games, derbies, tournaments
