New Thinking Requires New Investment
You can’t practice new medicine in an old hospital. We are building the hospital of the future, and we must raise $70 million from our community to make it happen.
We’ve been given a new mandate: to create Ontario’s only ambulatory hospital focused on women’s health. This means Women’s College Hospital’s patients will get home in less than a day.
Women’s College Hospital is building on the same site where we live, a new 400,000 square foot facility on the current Grenville Street site in downtown Toronto. Our redeveloped hospital will replace all existing buildings and consolidate most hospital services in one location.
Most importantly, our new hospital won’t be built around in-patient wards and bedrooms, but around specialized clinics, centres and surgical suites that combine treatment, care and education. It will be an easily accessible hub of programs, clinics and centres that enable teams of care providers to help patients prevent and manage their conditions and diseases – so they can live healthier and more independent lives. For patients, it means convenient, comprehensive, one-stop care. For the health system, it means sustainability.
Join us in this innovative project. Invest in the future of health care for all women and their families
today.
Because we all need a hospital designed to keep people out of the hospital.
Women’s College Hospital Foundation will be providing up-to-date details on this project as we move forward. For more photos of WCH’s building design and for information on the preferred proponent
